Born in La Garriga (Barcelona), she started her music education as a child in the music school of her native town. At age fourteen, she was admitted to the Conservatoire of Music of the Liceu (Barcelona). There, she studied piano with Ma Carmen Cortés, classical singing with Carmen Bustamante and harmony, counterpoint, musicianship, chamber music, history of music and audition with several Professors of the Conservatoire.

After extensive travelling as a teenager to attend music courses and master classes around Europe, Elisabeth fell in love with the British Capital and its vibrant cultural life in which music is an integral part. In 2005, Elisabeth began lessons at the Royal College of Music, studying under renowned Professor Eidween Harry. Subsequently, she achieved an Honours Degree in Music from the Royal Holloway University of London, an Honours Degree in Humanities specialising in History, a Diploma in Music (Open) and she also became an Associate of the Trinity College of Music in Vocal Recital (ATCL).

Parallel to her performance and academic studies, her passion for teaching was strong from a tender age and by age twelve, Elisabeth was already assisting teachers at her local music school. At age sixteen, she became a professional teacher in the music school ‘El Tram’, at the same time that she was accepted as a Teacher's Assistant at the Conservatoire of the Liceu. A year later, she became the youngest teacher in the Conservatoire. From there, Elisabeth started to train as a teacher in Spain, France and Italy where she graduated from a three-year training course in Music Pedagogy, in Italy, in Edgar Willem’s Pedagogy. She also trained in Jacques Dalcroze’s Methodology and knowledge of Kodaly. Elisabeth has a specialism on teaching gifted and talented children (Institute of Child Education and Psychology).

She continues her professional development as a teacher, attending regular seminars, courses and workshops. Elisabeth performs regularly in solo and chamber concerts in Spain and the UK.

Her passion for the musical world extends also towards other fields like academic research, composition and conducting. She has participated in several courses on choral conducting with Maestro Manuel Cabero and orchestral conducting with Maestro George Hurst (Canford), Maestros Salvador Mas and Jörg Bierhance (Vienna), Peter Stark and Lev Parikian (London).

After working in music schools and in the Conservatoire in Barcelona, Elisabeth arrived in London and started to work as an external music teacher in schools. However, she soon realised that the quality of education, in terms of time, personal attention and systems wasn’t as deep and rounded as she thought it ought to be. Therefore, she set up a private music studio. This has since become known as The Beethoven Music School with the aim of providing a rounded musical education to its students.

Elisabeth is a deep believer that education is the key to a path out from poverty and regularly teaches and does charity work in Sri Lanka in the foundation created by her and her husband: Arion Premadasa Bulbena Foundation.
